It was now time to define the problem, and this was to move forward with the design process from research and discovery to defining what I am designing. This step includes addressing the problem, creating a ‘How might we’ statement, and a user need statement.
The problem is that a lot of high-target individuals experience an increased threat of their home being broke into and their home being robbed. These people include celebrities, sports stars, politicians, law officials, and police. These people are the most at threat, and they all are on the wealthier side. This makes their home desirable for robbers as they likely have valuable items in them.

After the critique in week 7, I have decided to change the user that I will be targeting. Instead of targeting just wealthy people, I will now target all home owners and make the product more accessible and inclusive. This is because low-income people still have valuables that if they are stolen, can leave them in a very bad place financially. This will mean that I have to ensure that the product is affordable, but the vision and purpose stays the same.
